A couple days ago I received my new pair of Roces S202 inline skates from Skates.com. Yeah-Yuh! I totally tore up my other pair (Salomon Pilot 9 Ti), but definitely got my money’s worth from them over the past 2+ years. This will be the first time in over 10 years that I’m not skating on Salomon skates. Unfortunately Salomon has discontinued their sales in the United States. However, maybe I won’t miss them too much. After my initial spin on these new Roces along the Strand, I’m quite happy with them. They look sick with the red and white coloring. The fit is good with an improved quick-lace feature to tighten the boot. The buckle around the ankle is enhanced, making it easy to consistently set the tightness and to get in and out of the skate. The Abec 7 bearings are fast, as I was able to coast smoothly on the bike path, even against the wind. I can’t wait to get back out there today!
Roces produces a great skate product and I’d recommend them to anyone that is looking for a Salomon replacement.
