King Khan and the Shrines : The Echo : 5/30/09

King Khan sprinkled his musical offerings over Silver Lake at the Echo last night. It was high energy and highly entertaining. Pants were dropped; screams were screamed. The set list was chock full of songs off of the "What Is!" album, one of the best I’ve heard all year. King Khan was joined by his Shrines, a band of musicians and one cheerleader totaling up to 11 people on stage at times. Other instances find King Khan pairing with opener Mark Sultan, the BBQ Show, as King Khan and the BBQ Show. Check them all out.
Note: My pictures are blurry because of all the jigglin’ going around.

Opener Mark Sultan sang "Shake Real Low" with the Shrines.

There’s the tuck during "I Wanna Be A Girl."
