I was somewhat sorry to see &#8217;04 go. It was ab-fab. &#8217;05 will have a lot to live up to, and it&#8217;s already off to a slammin&#8217; start! Last Saturday, during the first full weekend of 2005, haps were happnin&#8217; down at the 169 Bar with a bompin&#8217; and feet stompin&#8217; performance by The Lauren Taylor Band. It was a who&#8217;s who in the coolest social scene of &#8217;05 NYC (sorry Puffy), including Lauren herself, who serenaded the crowd with ear-pleasing vocal and guitar styles. Then Michi entertained most of the bar&#8217;s patrons at her abode in China Town. Attendees were required to put on a pair of her shades, grab a beer and boogie with Pablo.
