The utter epitome of rock was on display to send off January with a bang at the Silver Lake Lounge this past Wednesday. Earl Greyhound’s set was mainly comprised of songs from their album “Soft Targets,” an essential contribution to music in the new millenium. Rick, Kamara, and Matt produced a sound that has made my ears ring with eurphoria ever since. Seriously, my ears didn’t stop ringing for over a day, an appropriate aftermath from the torrential spectrum of sound that had entered them. The show again proved that the best concerts usually don’t take place at the Staples Center or Brendan Byrne Arena, but instead at places like the SL Lounge and North Six.
