Rock, Paper, Scissor opened this past weekend at the Robert Berman Gallery in Santa Monica. This group exhibition features artwork from Sonic Youth legends Kim Gordon, Lee Ranaldo and Thurston Moore, as well as Raymond Pettibon, Daniel Johnston, Ron English and Gibby Haynes. It will be on display through March 21, 2009.

Ratatat's tour touting their new LP3 album blazed through Hollywood for two nights this past week (I attended the second). The trio put forth their unique sounds with a playlist heavy on LP3; no complaints here. It's likely to round out as a top 5 album of 2008 through these ears.
